After parting ways with Ha Tinh FC, Leygley Adou Minh agreed to join Hanoi Police FC. He will play for the police team from the 2025-2026 season as a Vietnamese expatriate player who does not yet have Vietnamese citizenship.
Having joined Ha Tinh FC from the 2024-2025 season, Adou Minh quickly proved his worth. Standing at 1.78m tall, the French-born center-back was a reliable anchor in the defense, making a significant contribution to the team's 22-match unbeaten run out of 26 rounds in the V-League last season.
This was also an unprecedented achievement in the history of Ha Tinh Club. Under the leadership of coach Nguyen Thanh Cong, the team consistently maintained a position in the upper half of the standings, even at times close to the top team, before finishing the 2024-2025 V-League season in 5th place.
Not only did Adou Minh perform well in defense, but he also actively supported the attack, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist in 22 appearances.
That performance easily caught the attention of clubs, who wanted to bring Minh in to increase their competitiveness in Vietnam's top professional league.
Adou Minh, born in 1997, has a Vietnamese mother and a French father. He previously played in the French fourth division before returning to Vietnam. Driven by a desire to obtain Vietnamese citizenship and a passion for playing for the Vietnamese national team, Adou Minh joined Hanoi Police FC, a club that significantly influenced the selection of Nguyen Filip and Cao Quang Vinh for the national team.
Adou Minh is the next overseas Vietnamese player to be brought in by Hanoi Police FC after Brandon Ly. With ambitions to compete for the championship, the police team will continue to recruit more quality players to their squad in the near future.
