Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and held a discussion with a number of businesses in Tochigi province.

On the morning of April 4, within the framework of a working trip to Japan, comrade Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended an investment promotion seminar in Tochigi province, met and discussed with a number of Japanese enterprises, visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, thereby promoting investment and attracting green industrial projects to Vinh Phuc .

At the investment promotion workshop, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong introduced an overview of the investment environment in Vinh Phuc province, especially Japanese investment projects that have been and are being developed in the province, and potential industrial parks that are in the process of infrastructure construction.

At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed the viewpoint and development strategy of Vinh Phuc province, always considering the success of enterprises as the success of the province. Affirming that Vinh Phuc always welcomes Japanese investors, creating all support mechanisms for enterprises to soon start operating and do business effectively.

The Japanese side highly appreciated the diplomatic cooperation between Vinh Phuc and Tochigi provinces. In Vinh Phuc province, there are many Japanese enterprises investing; many strengths to attract investment; highly appreciated the provincial leaders always paying attention to foreign affairs, attracting cooperation in trade, labor, and tourism. This is a very suitable time for the province to promote investment.

Currently, Japan ranks second in terms of investment capital in the province (1.9 billion USD) with 62 investment projects in Vinh Phuc, contributing the most to the budget.

The delegation of Vinh Phuc province was warmly and respectfully welcomed and held discussions with a number of businesses. After hearing the proposal on the environmental project of the neighboring province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Secretary of Vinh Tuong District Party Committee to implement it.

At the seminar, Vinh Phuc province wished to promote cooperation with Tochigi province, soon establish a twinning relationship to promote economic, trade, cultural - tourism and people-to-people exchanges between the two provinces. In the coming time, Vinh Phuc respectfully requested Tochigi province to send a number of engineers and students to study in the fields of high technology, semiconductors... and exchange experiences with Vinh Phuc province.

At the end of the discussion, the leaders of Tochigi province proposed specific activities to strengthen socio-economic cooperation between the two provinces, such as upgrading the relationship from the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on friendly cooperation between Vinh Phuc province and Tochigi province to a twinning relationship; supporting Vinh Phuc province in promoting the investment environment to Japanese investors.

Before the workshop, the Governor of Tochigi Prefecture received the working delegation of the province and exchanged information on cooperation between the two provinces.

On the same afternoon, the provincial delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu acknowledged and highly appreciated the friendly cooperation relationship between Vinh Phuc and Akita and Tochigi provinces of Japan. The Ambassador said that with its available potential and advantages, Vinh Phuc has been, is and will be a successful destination for many Japanese investors. The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan will continue to be a bridge to support the province in investment, trade, tourism and labor promotion activities in the coming time.

Thanking Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu for his attention, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong quickly informed about some outstanding results in the province's socio-economic development; investment attraction and promotion; the operation of FDI projects in general and Japanese projects in particular in the province; the results of the delegation's working trip to some localities and Japanese enterprises in recent days. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong hopes that the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan will continue to support Vinh Phuc in promoting investment promotion activities, expanding friendly cooperation programs, and people-to-people diplomacy with localities of Japan, contributing to fostering the good relationship between the two countries Vietnam and Japan.

Next, the provincial delegation worked with the leaders of Sojitz Group. Mr. Masayoshi Fujimoto, General Director of Sojitz Group shared: Currently, Sojitz is investing in Vinh Phuc. The Group thanks the provincial leaders for their attention and support for Sojitz to quickly implement project items.

Sojitz Group has entered into a joint venture with Vinamilk to invest in the Vinabeef Tam Dao Beef Breeding and Processing Complex project in Tam Dao district with a total cooperation value of more than 500 million USD, including a modern cattle farm with a capacity of 10,000 cows and a chilled beef processing factory with a capacity of 30,000 cows/year (equivalent to 10,000 tons of products/year).

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong recalled his impression of the infrastructure system and strict processing procedures ensuring world-class standards in beef processing at Vinabeef Tam Dao after visiting the project with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh last March. He emphasized that this is a pioneering project in high-tech agriculture, helping the province to exploit the development potential of a completely new field, promising to bring many jobs and promote economic growth.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong suggested that Sojitz Group continue to invest and expand the project in Vinh Phuc, put the Vinabeef Tam Dao beef farming and processing complex into operation soon, creating a production - consumption chain, creating jobs for workers and promoting the province's livestock industry to develop in a new direction, improving the quality of agricultural products and ensuring sustainable development factors.
