Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai chaired a working session with Truong Hai Group Corporation.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai highly appreciated the role and financial potential of Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Lam Dong province is very interested in the investment needs of THACO in Da Lat - Lam Dong. Therefore, the provincial leaders are very interested in the meeting today regarding the contents related to planning and investment in projects that Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company plans to implement.

The Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said: In meetings with the Prime Minister, especially recently, when Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh worked with the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong, Lam Dong made recommendations on aluminum projects and highway projects, which were highly appreciated by the Deputy Prime Minister. These key projects will be included in the documents of the new Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress. Therefore, the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Finance to supplement information on these projects and the projects that THACO is interested in investing in with focus in Lam Dong.

The Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also stated his viewpoint on selecting key investment projects based on the principle of key projects of the three provinces and inter-regional projects of the three provinces of Lam Dong, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan such as expressways, National Highways 28, 28B..., and coffee planting and processing projects, bauxite - aluminum projects...

Regarding zoning planning, there are also two principles: it must be done quickly to call for investment and the decision-making authority is the Provincial People's Council and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, so the departments, branches and localities must comply with the implementation.

THACO's fields of operation are very suitable for the development strategy of Lam Dong province. THACO wishes to implement its dedicated projects to contribute to the development of Da Lat and Lam Dong.

Currently, THACO is considering investing in projects in Da Lat - Lam Dong, but there are problems, hoping the province will support to resolve them. These include Golf 1 Hotel which is still stuck in planning and construction permits; the bauxite project and aluminum factory need a focal point to support electricity and land reclamation planning; the planning of Lam Dong province and Da Lat city is also related to the Dinh Hill area that THACO wants to invest in; the planning of the East of Da Lat; some sections of the THACO expressway are expected to start construction in the near future.

Mr. Bui Quang Son - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction said: The Department will coordinate with Da Lat city to speed up the planning of 165 hectares; including THACO's Golf 1 project because there is no detailed planning, slowing down the project's progress. Regarding the planning project in the East of Da Lat, although it is suitable for the development situation but is stuck in Planning 704, the Department of Construction has proposed this content in the draft submitted to the Ministry of Construction...

Regarding the issue related to Planning 704, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai emphasized: If THACO's projects are in accordance with regulations and do not violate Planning 704, they can be adjusted, but if they are not in accordance with the planning, they must wait because removing difficulties for businesses must also comply with the provisions of the law. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Construction and Da Lat City to submit the Da Lat City Planning before June 1.

Lam Dong Province's viewpoint was further affirmed by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai as supporting investors in accordance with the provisions of the law. However, to resolve investors' wishes, it is necessary to rely on planning. THACO needs to transfer information to the Department of Construction for synthesis and report to the province to submit to the Prime Minister for addition to the planning.
