Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front meets with press agencies on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

On the afternoon of June 16, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a meeting with press agencies to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

The program took place under the chairmanship of comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Attending the event were comrades of the Party Central Committee: Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Lai Xuan Mon, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association ; Hoang Trung Dung, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine.

Vietnam Revolutionary Press - The bridge connecting the National Assembly with the people

Speaking at the program, comrade Do Van Chien expressed his joy and cordially sent the delegates his best wishes on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

Emphasizing the role of revolutionary journalism associated with Ho Chi Minh's ideology over the past 100 years, he affirmed that Vietnamese revolutionary journalism has continuously grown, always pioneering on the ideological and cultural front, and being a reliable bridge between the Party, State and people.

According to comrade Do Van Chien, in recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system has continuously strengthened coordination with press agencies in propaganda and mass mobilization, promptly reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of the people, creating social consensus.

In addition, the Front has also supported the building of a healthy and standardized press environment through promoting ethical standards of journalism, rewarding press works for solidarity, for the community, for sustainable development; encouraging the participation of the press in social supervision and criticism, especially in areas related to the vital interests of the people such as health, education, environment, anti-corruption, administrative reform, social security, etc.

The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front presented flowers to representatives of leaders of domestic press agencies.

In addition, the Front system also promotes multi-platform communication, enhances digital transformation capacity for local press and press of socio-political organizations, creating conditions for the voice of the Front and the people to get closer to the public.

On behalf of journalists across the country, comrade Le Quoc Minh expressed his high agreement with the above opinions, and at the same time hoped that press agencies would continue to have the opportunity to closely coordinate with the Front system across the country, together towards the common task of spreading trust, creating consensus in society on consolidating and promoting the great national unity bloc in the era of rising up.
