During the conversation, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan highly appreciated the young players' unyielding fighting spirit, especially after the arduous journey to the final of the U.23 Southeast Asian tournament for the third consecutive time.
He emphasized: "The U.23 Vietnam team under the leadership of coach Kim Sang-sik has created an impressive record. We have faced many great challenges, but still stood firm. The upcoming final will be a high mountain, but not insurmountable."

However, the VFF President believes that U.23 Vietnam is fully capable of winning if they maintain tactical discipline, promote solidarity and fight until the last minute.

Indonesian Football Federation President Erick Thohir said: "The Indonesian U.23 team has overcome the semi-final match against Thailand U.23 after a tense penalty shootout. This means we have reached the final for the second time in a row. I witnessed it last time in 2023, in Thailand. The only difference is that now we are the home team, so if we can win, we will definitely win. Indonesia U.23 will not let Vietnam U.23 trample on our home field."
