What should car owners do when using E10 gasoline?

SKĐS - According to some experts, there is no need to panic or worry when E10 gasoline officially circulates nationwide, and users do not need to apply instructions circulating online.

Regarding the nationwide switch from conventional gasoline to E10 gasoline starting June 1st, at a press briefing organized by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department on May 26th, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan stated that the use of bio-gasoline is a correct policy for sustainable development and contributes to stabilizing and ensuring national energy security.

The plan to transition from conventional gasoline (a purely fossil fuel) to the use of biofuels, specifically E5 and E10 biofuels (mixing 5% and 10% ethanol with conventional gasoline), is a government policy outlined in Decision No. 53/2012/QD-TTg dated November 22, 2012, issued by the Prime Minister on the roadmap for applying the blending ratio of biofuels with traditional fuels (Decision 53).

The Ministry of Industry and Trade affirms that the use of biofuels and bioethanol is a correct policy of the Government. In the context of developing a green, low-carbon economy , reducing dependence on fossil fuels for sustainable development, and contributing to national energy security, increasing the use of biofuels and bioethanol is essential.

With the country's gasoline consumption at approximately 1 million m3/month, the required amount of E10 is about 100,000 m3/month. From current domestic production of about 25,000 m3/month and imports of about 75,000 m3/month, businesses have essentially been able to proactively meet the blending needs.
