The 73rd Miss Universe 2024 final took place on the evening of November 16 (local time) in Mexico. Victoria Kjær Theilvig became the first Danish girl to become Miss Universe. Vietnam's representative - Miss Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen - regretfully stopped in the top 30.

In the final night of Miss Universe 2024, 125 contestants took turns performing in the ensemble, swimsuit, evening gown, and question and answer rounds. In the end, Danish beauty Victoria Kjær Theilvig won the highest crown of the contest. The titles of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th runner-up respectively belonged to beauties from Nigeria, Mexico, Thailand, and Venezuela.
Miss Universe 2024 has more open criteria than previous times, such as accepting contestants who are married and have children, and the age range is expanded without limit.

Vietnam's representative at Miss Universe 2024 - Miss Ky Duyen announced on her personal page that she stopped at the Top 30 and expressed her satisfaction with her journey in the contest: "Duyen's dream has been completely fulfilled".
"I am really proud of myself for contributing a small part to my beloved Vietnam!". The beauty believes that this year's Miss Universe competition is too fierce with nearly 130 contestants, all of whom are strong.

At the age of 18, Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen was crowned Miss Vietnam 2014. After 10 years, in July 2024, Ky Duyen registered to compete in Miss Universe Vietnam and was crowned the highest position. Sharing with VTV Times about that 10-year journey, Ky Duyen once said: "10 years to pursue the dream, 10 years to live fully with the desire of youth, it is never too late and Duyen herself also wants to spread that story to more people, don't give up, continue to nurture and you will realize your dream in your own way".
