According to the memorandum of understanding, Samsung and Duy Tan University will cooperate in organizing training and teaching programs of the Samsung Innovation Campus Project for lecturers and students.
Specifically, in 2023, the two sides will implement a Big Data training program for 25 students of Duy Tan University. In addition, in the next year's SIC program (ie the 2023-2024 school year) at Duy Tan University, Samsung will conduct all 4 courses including the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data and Coding & Programming.
After the program, Duy Tan University students will have the opportunity to intern at Samsung Vietnam Research and Development Center. In addition, Samsung and Duy Tan University will also coordinate to organize seminars and exchange programs to share technology trends periodically.
At the event, Samsung also pledged to provide electronic equipment, labs, etc. at Duy Tan University to serve the teaching of SIC courses. In addition, it will coordinate to implement other teaching training programs within the framework of Samsung Vietnam's social responsibility activities at Duy Tan University in particular and the Central region in general in the near future.
In this signing program, Samsung Vietnam also offers 10 internship opportunities at Samsung Vietnam Research and Development Center (SRV) for excellent students of Duy Tan University. This is an annual internship program for students majoring in technology.
Through this internship program, students have the opportunity to receive thorough training in programming languages such as Java, C/C++... and have the opportunity to become official employees at Samsung Vietnam Research and Development Center.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that the city has given strong directions on building e-Government, enhancing the application of information technology, reviewing and simplifying administrative procedures... Da Nang identifies private investment and foreign direct investment as important driving forces for socio -economic development.
Mr. Choi Joo Ho - General Director of Samsung Vietnam said: "In the current period, developing technology talent is the key for countries to rise up and become developed countries. Expanding the scale of the SIC program to universities in the Central region as well as many universities across Vietnam is one of Samsung's efforts to spread, bring many learning opportunities and improve the ability to apply future key technologies for the young generation of Vietnam."
Samsung Innovation Campus is a global Information and Communications Technologyeducation program for young people. The program will provide 3 courses to develop technology skills for young people aged 14-24, including: Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data and 1 Basic Programming skills course (Coding & Programming). |
