Art program "Proud Melody" celebrates the 79th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the evening of August 29, at the outdoor stage of the City Children's Cultural Palace, the art program "Proud Melody" took place to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).
Attending the program were Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Trinh Van Tu, along with representatives of relevant agencies, units and a large number of people of the city.
79 years ago, the Communist Party of Vietnam led the entire people to rise up and break the shackles of colonialism and feudalism and regain independence for the nation. On September 2, 1945, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was born, opening an era of independence and freedom for our nation and people. 79 years have passed, but the memories of the glorious and heroic days are still imprinted in each of us. In the heroic and emotional atmosphere, the Art Program is the melody that deeply engraves and expresses gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their blood for national independence and national reunification.
The program consists of 2 chapters, "Proud Melody" and "Brocade Fatherland" with content praising the homeland, the country, praising Uncle Ho and Hai Phong city; contributing to creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the people of the city; at the same time propagating and educating patriotism, national pride, revolutionary traditions, the spirit of great national solidarity among the people of the city, affirming the great achievements, the heroic and indomitable traditions, and creativity of our Party and people in the struggle, construction and protection of the Fatherland, innovation and development.
In which, chapter I “Proud Melody” includes the songs “August Nineteen” (composed by Xuan Oanh), “The Road to the Front” (composed by Phung Tien Minh), “Volunteer” (composed by Truong Quoc Khanh), “Flag” (composed by Ta Quang Thang), “Proud Melody” (composed by Pham Hong Bien)…
Chapter II “The Brocade Fatherland” includes the chorus “Your Country is Incredibly Beautiful” (composed by Kieu Hong Phuong), “My Lullaby” (composed by Duong Thu), the dance “Childhood Memories” (Choreographer Binh Nguyen), the chorus “Beloved Hai Phong” (composed by Truong Quang Luc), “Our Hai Phong” (composed by Dat Ozy), “Wonderful Summer” (composed by Tang Duy Tan), “A Circle of Vietnam” (composed by Dong Thien Duc)…
The program is carried out under the content direction of the Department of Culture and Sports; the implementing unit is the City Cultural Center; art direction is the Director of the City Cultural Center Do Thi Khanh Huong; choreographers Thu Trang, Binh Nguyen, Dieu Duyen, Quang Anh; orchestration is Bich Thuy; music arranger and arranger Thai Son, Freaky - Mez; through the performances of Dat Ozy, Hoang Van, Duc Dai, Tuan Hung, Nam Giang, GoodLife Yoga Dance Group, Lavish Dance Group, Diamond Dance Group, Hai Phong School of Culture, Arts and Tourism, Hai Phong Children's Cultural Palace...
