Poetry program "Tran Nhuan Minh - A drop of silt for thousands of miles"

Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 (1945-2025) and welcoming Party Congresses at all levels,

On the evening of August 20, at the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace, the Quang Ninh Literature and Arts Association organized the poetry program "Tran Nhuan Minh - Thousand Miles of Alluvial Drops" at the 16th Quang Ninh Provincial Party Congress, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress.

Attending the program were Comrade Nguyen Thi Hanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Literature and Arts Associations of Hung Yen Province and Hai Phong City, along with many artists and poetry lovers inside and outside the province.

Born in 1944 in Hai Duong (now Hai Phong City) , poet Tran Nhuan Minh spent most of his life in Quang Ninh, where he published many works such as: "That is love" (1971), "The melody of a land" (1980), "The epic of burnt stone" (1985), "The escort poet" (1989). In particular, the collection "The poet and flowers and grass" has been reprinted 27 times and translated into many languages.

Poet Tran Nhuan Minh is one of the typical faces who started with traditional poetry praising the homeland and country, later turning to profound contemplations about history, human destiny and current events.

In his 65 years of writing, the poet has published 71 books at home and abroad, including 52 poetry collections, with 31 in Vietnamese, 13 in English and many in other languages. Notably, 6 of his poetry collections have been published globally from Canada and India.

Some songs based on Tran Nhuan Minh's poems were performed at the program.

Tran Nhuan Minh's poems have been translated into 18 languages ​​and published in 22 countries, demonstrating the strong influence of his poems. His poems are rich in contemplation, using simple language but creating strong emotions. In 2007, poet Tran Nhuan Minh was awarded the State Prize for Literature and Arts for the poetry collection "Poet and Flowers" and the long poem "Wild Sonata" .

Leaders of the Vietnam Writers Association and some local Literature and Arts Associations presented flowers to congratulate the program.

The program “Tran Nhuan Minh - A Drop of Alluvial Sand for Thousands of Miles” introduces many unique performances, interwoven with poetry performances, commentary and documentary reports, giving the audience a comprehensive view of the life and career of poet Tran Nhuan Minh.

The program also includes performances of musical works based on Tran Nhuan Minh's poems, poetic dramas and theatrical renditions of his epic poems . This is a meaningful activity to honor the great contributions of poet Tran Nhuan Minh to literature.
