Director Vu Dinh Cuong - Good Black and White Movie (Inside a Movie)
Vu Dinh Cuong - director of the film Black and White or (Inside a Film) shared that he was surprised when his work was included in the top 20 list of the Vietnam Short Film Competition - Vietnamese 2025. Because before that, he and his colleagues decided to submit their work to the competition because they found this an interesting playground, hoping to have more new experiences for themselves in their journey of artistic creation.
“Following other groups, I see that you guys invest in very impressive products. Therefore, being in the top 20 with everyone is a source of pride for me. It is an opportunity for me to learn many more things,” he shared.
In addition, Vu Dinh Cuong was also particularly impressed by the enthusiasm and professionalism of the organization of the Vietnam Short Film Competition - Vietnamese 2025. For him, this is an opportunity for young filmmakers to gain experience, thereby motivating them to try harder. "Not only short films, but who knows, maybe in the future we can try our hand at long-term projects," he hopes.

When they understood more about the space and the lives of the people there, they began to feel the humanity, the hardships of the sick and the silent dedication of the workers. But for me, it is a long journey, it must be 10 years or 20 years or even more to reach that dream. And participating in the competition is a blessing for me, giving me more motivation in the journey ahead,” Ngo Nguyen Hoai Bao confided.

Screenwriter Ho Minh Hieu expressed her happiness when her work "Dieu ngot o lai" was named in the top 20 finalists. Not to mention, she also won the individual award for Best Screenwriter at the Vietnam Short Film Competition - Vietnamese 2025.
