On October 17, the Conference of Presidents and General Secretaries of Member Associations & Regional Confederations organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in Riyadh officially opened.

This 3-day event brings together leading Asian football leaders and experts to discuss innovation, cooperation and sustainable development strategies for the AFC member federation system. Representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) attending the workshop include Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan - AFC Standing Committee Member, VFF President and Mr. Nguyen Van Phu - VFF General Secretary.

The conference featured in-depth discussions and presentations designed to promote innovation in sports governance, technology, finance, digital transformation, grassroots development and international connectivity. The organizers invited prestigious international speakers and leaders from AFC member associations to present and exchange ideas to increase the performance and sustainability of Asian football in the next decade.

VFF hopes to learn advanced management models and practical experiences from other federations through this workshop. At the same time, VFF hopes to have the opportunity to present initiatives and innovative efforts of Vietnamese football – from youth training development, organizing national tournaments, improving the capacity of coaches and referees to expanding community movements and social responsibility. Deep participation in international forums such as this workshop contributes to affirming Vietnam's proactive role in the Asian football community, while strengthening cooperation and learning exchange among member federations.

The workshop is expected to conclude on October 19, paving the way for new cooperation initiatives and specific action plans of the AFC and its member associations in the coming period. VFF is committed to continuing to pursue a professional, transparent and sustainable development orientation, while actively contributing to the overall development of Asian football.
