The program is chaired by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism , in coordination with the Tourism Development Support Fund, with the participation of representatives of tourism management agencies, localities, businesses, the press and performing artists.
This is a key promotion activity, concretizing Resolution No. 226/NQ-CP dated August 5, 2025 of the Government on growth targets for sectors, fields, localities and key tasks and solutions to ensure the country's growth in 2025 reaches 8.3 - 8.5% and Telegram No. 34/CD-TTg dated April 10, 2025 of the Prime Minister on promoting tourism development, ensuring double-digit economic growth; contributing to the target of welcoming international visitors in 2025; at the same time responding to the Vietnam - China Humanitarian Exchange Year, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Strengthening Vietnam - China tourism connectivity, towards comprehensive and sustainable cooperation
Welcoming the delegates attending the Vietnam Tourism Introduction Program in Beijing, Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Nguyen Trung Khanh affirmed that this is an event of special significance, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship, promoting tourism and cultural cooperation between the two countries, while opening up opportunities to increase guest exchange, connect businesses and promote the image of a friendly and hospitable Vietnam to Chinese friends.
The Director emphasized that tourism and cultural cooperation between Vietnam and China is a relationship rich in tradition, an objective need and has always been identified by the two Parties and two States as one of the important pillars in the overall bilateral friendship.
Notably, in October 2022, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Minister of Culture and Tourism of China signed the "Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Plan for the period 2023 - 2027", opening a comprehensive, oriented and in-depth cooperation framework between the two ministries and sectors.
In that spirit, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and agencies, localities and businesses of the two countries have been implementing many specific activities to promote people-to-people exchanges, enhance image promotion, and develop sustainable tourism, thereby contributing to the increasingly stable, healthy and effective development of Vietnam-China relations.

In recent years, China has always been the leading market for Vietnamese tourism. In 2024, the number of Chinese tourists to Vietnam reached nearly 3.8 million, recovering more than 64% compared to the pre-pandemic period. And in just the first 9 months of 2025, Vietnam welcomed nearly 3.9 million Chinese tourists, an increase of more than 43% over the same period, China continued to hold the position as the number one market.
In contrast, Vietnam is also one of the five largest foreign markets sending tourists to China. This is a clear demonstration of the need for exchange, understanding and deep cooperation between the people of the two countries, as well as the great development potential of Vietnam - China tourism in the future.
Director Nguyen Trung Khanh said that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to strengthen exchanges and contacts to effectively implement the Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Plan for the period 2023 - 2027 in accordance with the direction of the leaders of the two governments. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism hopes to work with Chinese partners to promote the existing bilateral and multilateral cooperation platform, promote sustainable tourism development, and exploit the rich potential of resources, culture and people of each country.
The two sides will support each other in tourism promotion, organize events to introduce destinations, increase the exchange of business delegations, press and experts, creating favorable conditions for tourists from both countries to travel, experience and explore. Along with that, Vietnam wishes to closely coordinate with the Chinese side in managing the quality of tourism services, developing infrastructure, training human resources, digital transformation in tourism management and promotion, towards forming a smart, safe and sustainable tourism cooperation environment.
The Vietnam Tourism Promotion Program 2025 is a strong message demonstrating the common determination of the tourism sectors of the two countries in promoting exchange, cooperation and sustainable development, contributing to further strengthening the traditional friendship and good neighborliness between the people of the two countries.

Ambassador of the Vietnamese Embassy in China, Ninh Thanh Cong, commented that in recent times, under the close attention and direction of the senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries, cultural and tourism cooperation between Vietnam and China has had positive developments, increasingly going into depth, contributing to raising the level of the "Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership", building a Community of Shared Future Vietnam - China with strategic significance with the connotation of "6 more". In particular, tourism cooperation has played an important role as a bridge for trade and investment activities and is a bright spot in the relationship between the two countries, contributing to enhancing understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries, contributing to consolidating "a more solid social foundation".
The Vietnamese Embassy in China highly appreciated the Vietnam Tourism Introduction Program in China, which not only introduced Vietnam's tourism policies and resources, enhanced the exploitation and further development of the tourism potential of the two countries, but also became more meaningful when it took place on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the Vietnam-China Cultural Exchange Year. Artists from the Vietnam National Music, Dance and Singing Theatre also brought to the program unique art performances, combining traditional musical instruments, folk dances from three regions and Vietnamese-Chinese exchange performances, creating a musical feast that is both intimate and imbued with Vietnamese identity, blending tradition and modernity. From there, helping the Chinese public better understand the cultural identity of Vietnam.
