FPT Play will broadcast live and exclusively most NBA games for three seasons, starting in October 2025. This is the second agreement reached between the company and the National Basketball Association (NBA) since 2022, making FPT Play the only domestic television service to hold the rights to broadcast the NBA for six consecutive seasons.

Notably, this agreement is the first time fans have the opportunity to fully enjoy all the rounds of the world's biggest basketball league. From the Preseason, Regular Season, Play-In Tournament, Playoffs to the NBA Finals and other special events such as the NBA All-Star Weekend, All-Star Celebrity, and NBA Draft…, everything will be broadcast in international standard quality with lively and in-depth Vietnamese commentary.
Of the 209-226 games selected each season, the number of games per round will increase to 180 Regular Season games, 22-34 Playoffs games, 7 NBA Cup Finals/Play-in tournament games, and 5 Preseason games (starting from the 2026-2027 season). This means that domestic audiences can enjoy exciting and captivating NBA games almost every day.

Ms. To Nam Phuong, Deputy General Director of FPT Play, said: "FPT Play wants to bring viewers exciting and contemporary sports , and basketball is one of them. From 2022 to the present, we have focused on investing in the production and broadcasting of many major tournaments, not only international leagues like the NBA and ABL, but also many domestic leagues such as the VBA, the 5x5 U18 National Championship, and the 3x3 U23 National Championship…".
By continuing to hold the NBA broadcasting rights, FPT Play aims to reaffirm its pioneering position in promoting and supporting the development of this sport in Vietnam. The new NBA season is expected to bring many top-tier matches.
Alongside the emergence of new talents, NBA veterans like Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, and Jayson Tatum continue to shine, maintaining their top form.
Right from the first week of competition (October 22-29), viewers will witness a series of noteworthy matchups. The highlight of the opening series is the "epic battle" between two renowned basketball clubs: the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers, taking place in Los Angeles.
In addition, other exciting matches such as Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics vs. New York Knicks, or Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors..., also provide opportunities for young stars like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Tamar Bates to challenge veteran legends.
The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the world's oldest professional basketball league. Beginning in the 2022-2023 season, the NBA organizers have made significant changes to their image promotion efforts in Vietnam specifically and Asia generally.
In particular, increasing audience accessibility across all age groups, especially Generation Z, is a key focus for the NBA. This is also one of the reasons why the National Basketball Association (NBA) has partnered with FPT Play to widely promote the NBA to Vietnamese audiences to this day.
