According to Sportico data, Michael Jordan - the "king" of the National Basketball Association (NBA) - is the leader of the list of the richest athletes in the world with an estimated fortune of up to 4.15 billion USD .

With six NBA championships and an influence far beyond basketball, Jordan is an irreplaceable icon in global sports.
