Aiming to perfect the squad and playing style before the 33rd SEA Games, the national women's team will leave for Japan for training from November 21 to 30, with some personnel adjustments compared to the list announced on October 17.

Accordingly, 5 players will not go to training with the team including: Le Thi Thu, Luu Hoang Van, Ta Thi Hong Minh, Nguyen Thi Van (injured) and Tran Nhat Lan.

After Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club completed Group A of the 2025/26 Asian Women's Club Championship, reaching the quarter-finals, 6 players: Quach Thu Em, Cu Thi Huynh Nhu, Huynh Nhu, Tran Thi Thu Thao, Nguyen Thi Kim Yen and Tran Thi Kim Thanh continued to be added to the team by Coach Mai Duc Chung.
Two assistants of Ho Chi Minh City Club, Coach Doan Thi Kim Chi and Assistant Nguyen Thi Kim Hong, were also added to the coaching staff to support professional preparation.
According to the plan, from Viet Tri (Phu Tho), the national women's team will go straight to Noi Bai International Airport on the night of November 20, with 8 members flying from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi tonight, check in for the flight at 01:35 on November 21 and expected to land in Nagoya at 08:00 am (local time).

During the 10-day training in Japan, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will have three friendly matches with teams from the university system in Nagoya, to evaluate the team's performance, coordination ability and tactical adaptation.
After completing the training program, the team will return to Ho Chi Minh City on November 30 and stay for two more days to adapt to the weather and temperature conditions in the area.
On December 2, the team will move to Chonburi (Thailand), ready to embark on the journey to conquer the 33rd SEA Games.
At the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's team is in Group B with Myanmar, Malaysia and the Philippines. The teams will compete in a round robin, with the top two teams advancing to the semi-finals.
