Goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien, who is 1.91m tall, affirmed that the entire Vietnam U23 team is highly focused and promised not to repeat the goals conceded against Laos U23.

On the afternoon of December 13th, the Vietnam U23 team held their first training session at the 72nd Anniversary Stadium, located 25 km from their hotel, in preparation for the semi-final match against the Philippines U23 team, which will take place at 3:30 PM on December 15th.

Goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien shared: "I think after the victory against U.23 Malaysia, the entire U.23 Vietnam team has refocused and trained according to coach Kim Sang-sik's plan, preparing well for the next match."

I think the victory against U23 Malaysia was a motivation and a boost of confidence for us to continue performing well in the semi-final. After each match, we sit down to assess our strengths and weaknesses, and everything is resolved in a meeting with Coach Kim."

As a goalkeeper, of course, one of Trung Kien's biggest priorities is keeping a clean sheet, as in the victory against U.23 Malaysia, after having to pick the ball out of the net in the opening match win against U.23 Laos.

The HAGL goalkeeper shared: "I think the U23 Philippines team is very strong, having defeated U23 Indonesia in the group stage. I think they are a worthy opponent for us to focus on and be more determined to win against."

The U23 Philippines team will remain unchanged, still a strong team in my opinion and that of my teammates. After each match, we always analyze the negative situations, and when we go out onto the field, we will focus on training to prevent those problems from happening again.

My goal, when entering the tournament, was definitely not to concede a single goal. I think there's competition in any environment. In the Vietnam U23 team, everyone has to strive to prove themselves."
