The tremendous pressure from the Vietnamese women's team caused Myanmar to concede two goals quickly in the first half. They mainly advanced to the semi-finals thanks to being in a very easy Group A, where only the Thai women's team was strong, while the Singapore women's team was... too weak.

"Indonesia is a rapidly improving team. Compared to the team we faced at the AFF Cup in Hai Phong , they've changed a lot. In particular, the naturalized players have brought a new energy to the team. This is good progress, and we will be cautious. I respect our opponent and will focus all my efforts on this match."

"I know Indonesia has naturalized players. We have also studied our opponent and will have a strategy to deal with their tall and strong players. We will press high, utilize our best abilities, and play in the best possible condition. Even though our opponent has many naturalized players, I believe Vietnam will win," coach Mai Duc Chung assessed.

The Vietnamese women's team has a perfect record against Indonesia in previous encounters. If they continue to defeat their opponent, coach Mai Duc Chung's team will be well on their way to winning their fifth consecutive SEA Games gold medal, following their titles in 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2023.
