Diverse services
In July, every weekend, the family of Mr. Le Van Ninh (40 years old) in Tan Ky commune traveled together in a 5-seat car to the East of Hai Phong. This time, the place that Mr. Ninh's family chose to explore and experience was VinWonders Vu Yen in Hai An ward. This is a new entertainment area, planned and built systematically with a scale of nearly 20 hectares. After about 1 hour of traveling, his family arrived at the largest entertainment complex in Hai Phong.
According to Mr. Ninh, the highlight of VinWonders Vu Yen is the vast animal kingdom with about 2,000 animals and 1,600 species of birds, helping children freely explore nature. Besides, there are outdoor and indoor playgrounds with hundreds of modern and attractive electronic and experiential games. The place that attracts the most young people is the water park of more than 2 hectares. Mr. Ninh's family spent a whole day at this playground, but there are still many places that have not been explored.

" Hai Duong and Hai Phong have become one family, so this summer vacation my family is determined to explore all the famous tourist attractions, entertainment areas in the East of Hai Phong. In July alone, we have traveled here 3 times and were very satisfied with the services. All family members are happy after each trip," said Mr. Ninh.
After the merger, many families in the West tend to prefer traveling to the East of Hai Phong rather than to other provinces and cities like in previous years. The reason is that tourist destinations in the East are developing strongly with diverse accommodation, dining and resort services. Meanwhile, the distance from the West to the East of Hai Phong is not too far, helping tourists save a lot of costs and travel time. On the other hand, with the mentality of "for the sake of the flag", many people still choose the East of Hai Phong as their destination even though they are too familiar with the tourist destinations here.

The family of Ms. Dang Thi Ngan (30 years old) in Le Thanh Nghi ward recently had a tour to Dragon Hill tourist area in Do Son ward. Although they have been to this tourist destination many times, this is the first time her family has come to Dragon Hill as citizens of Hai Phong city. In addition to tourism, Ms. Ngan also let her children experience an attractive "Food tour" with dishes associated with the name of the Port city such as: crab spring rolls, crab rice noodles, spicy bread, banh duc tau, chrysanthemum tea... "We hope that Hai Phong city will soon have a public bus route from the West to the East to facilitate people's travel", Ms. Ngan shared.
Lots of potential
Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy, Director of Dong Chui Viet International Travel Co., Ltd., assessed that after the merger, the number of tourists from the West to the East of Hai Phong increased dramatically. Most people travel with family, friends, and colleagues by personal means, so it is difficult to have specific statistics. The main reason is that many people want to learn more about the Port City after "coming home together". On the other hand, in recent years, Hai Phong tourism has had many positive changes, especially more diverse accommodation and resort services. Many large-scale investment in entertainment areas has become an ideal destination for many families with young children.

Before the merger, the West and East of Hai Phong had many important traffic works such as: Dinh bridge, Quang Thanh bridge, National Highway 5, Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, National Highway 37, 37B, 17. These traffic works have "erased" the distance between the two regions of Hai Phong, helping to shorten the time and reduce travel costs for both people and businesses. At the same time, it increased trade of goods, promoting socio-economic development. The merger is a condition to expand the development space, increase the competitiveness of Hai Phong on the national and international tourism map.
Previously, Hai Phong aimed to promote health tourism, ecological tourism, agricultural tourism, smart tourism, and green tourism. Meanwhile, Hai Duong focused on spiritual tourism, cultural-historical tourism, and experiential agriculture. Now, after the merger, this convergence not only expands the geography but also raises the scale and quality of tourism services for the new Hai Phong City.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City Tourism Association, the East of Hai Phong has strengths in sea and ecology, while the West is spiritual, historical and agricultural tourism. This resonance will help the city complete the chain of tourism products from short-term to long-term resorts. Currently, the tourism shift between the two regions in Hai Phong is taking place strongly and is affected by weather factors. Typically, in summer and autumn, people tend to return to the sea. Winter and spring are the right times to experience spiritual and historical tours...
"After the merger, in addition to entertainment, recreation and sea tourism areas, Hai Phong also has nearly 4,000 relics. This is not only a testament to its long history but also a rich and diverse cultural treasure. If these locations are linked together, forming a chain of destinations, it will contribute to attracting more tourists, promoting local economic development, creating new vitality for the tourism industry and Hai Phong's unique culture," said Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City Tourism Association.
