Expert Park Chunggun is the head coach of the Vietnam Shooting team.

Expert Park Chung, born on August 21, 1966, Korean nationality, started working with Vietnam Shooting since 2006 and officially became an expert of the national Shooting team since 2015. Together with coach Nguyen Thi Nhung, Mr. Park is the one who contributed greatly to the gold medal, silver medal at the 2016 Olympics and 1 silver medal at the world championship of shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh. He also made an important contribution to Pham Quang Huy's gold medal at the 19th Asian Games and Thu Vinh's ticket to the 2024 Olympics.

Sharing on his personal page at noon on October 20, expert Park Chunggun wrote: “From the bottom of my heart, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Vietnamese fans, journalists and dear friends who have always supported me over the years. You have given me more reasons to realize that there are always good things to believe in, no matter what happens. Love you all.”

During many years of shooting in Vietnam, expert Park Chunggun has learned to speak Vietnamese, eat Vietnamese food and live like a local. He has confided many times that he loves Vietnam as his second homeland and wants to stay with the S-shaped strip of land.

Good news also came to Coach Park Chunggun today, at the 2023 Asian Shooting Championship taking place in Korea, shooter Trinh Thu Vinh and shooters Pham Quang Huy, Phan Cong Minh, Lai Cong Minh brought home 2 individual and team bronze medals for the Vietnamese Shooting team in the women's 10m air pistol event. Hopefully, with the support of expert Park Chunggun, Vietnamese Shooting will have more achievements in international arenas.
