Taste Atlas has just announced the list of Most iconic food places in the world 2023, to honor traditional eateries and brands serving local dishes.
Notably, Vietnam's Trang Tien ice cream ranked 13/100 in the list of world-famous ice cream places, famous for its coconut flavor.
These destinations are selected based on criteria such as: long history, reputation, iconic status of the restaurant as well as the restaurant's dishes, along with reviews from diners and experts.
It can be seen that Trang Tien ice cream is not only a symbol of Vietnamese cuisine but also has left an impression on world tourists. This is a recommended must-try dish when coming to Vietnam.
Established in 1958, the name “Trang Tien” is also the place where the “national” ice cream is sold and produced. The traditional ice cream flavors are very famous such as green rice ice cream, coconut milk ice cream, cocoa ice cream, green bean ice cream… are familiar to many Hanoians in particular, as well as domestic and foreign tourists.
“The World's Most Iconic Food Places” is a ranking within the framework of the annual Taste Atlas Awards, based on votes and scores from culinary experts, chefs and diners around the world.
In 2023, more than 400,000 votes and scores were submitted by cuisines for the event.
The ranking criteria are based on the total score of more than 50 dishes and local culinary products. Taste Atlas connects with 9,000 local restaurants, introduces more than 10,000 dishes to readers, thousands of reviews and research by culinary experts and chefs.
