Nam Dinh Club confirms to play in 5 major tournaments in the 2025-2026 season

Nam Dinh FC has confirmed the friendly match schedule with Angola's Libolo FC at 3pm on June 26 at Ninh Binh Provincial Stadium (Hoa Lu City). In addition, the official fanpage of Thanh Nam football team also said that Nam Dinh FC will be ready to participate in 5 arenas next season.

Specifically, Nam Dinh Club said that Thien Truong Stadium is currently undergoing turf maintenance to best prepare for the 2025-2026 season, when Nam Dinh Steel Club will compete in 5 arenas: National Super Cup (August 9), V. League, National Cup, Southeast Asian Club Championship Cup and AFC Champions League Two in the 2025-2026 season.

Recently, there has been some information that the V.League and National Cup champions will only play in the AFC Champions League Two (C2 Asia) while the Southeast Asian Club Cup spot will be given to the 3rd and 3rd ranked teams in the V.League. This is to help Vietnamese clubs not have to compete on many fronts, including 2 international cup tournaments.

However, Nam Dinh FC also confirmed that they had received an invitation from the Southeast Asian Football Federation. Thus, Thanh Nam FC also set a record as the Vietnamese club participating in the most tournaments in history with 4 tournaments and 1 Super Cup match.

With its strong financial potential and still possessing many quality foreign players from last season, Nam Dinh Club is probably the most confident Vietnamese team to compete in many arenas like that. Even with the return of Xuan Son, Nam Dinh can completely confidently aim for a historic 5-trophy as they are all candidates for the championship of these 5 tournaments.

Next season, each club participating in the V. League will be allowed to register 4 foreign players (using 3 on the field), 2 Vietnamese players who do not have nationality. If participating in the Southeast Asian Club Cup or the Asian Cup, the club will be allowed to register up to 7 foreign players, but when competing in the V. League, they must comply with the above rules.
