Thanh Hoa Club signs contract with former V-League top scorer

Confirming with VTC News, striker Rimario said he will return to play for his old team Thanh Hoa under a 1-year contract. He said goodbye to Binh Duong Club while Nguyen Tien Linh will stay and not move to Hanoi Police Club.

The relationship between Rimario and coach Le Huynh Duc broke down after only a few months of working together. The Jamaican striker was not in the plans of the difficult coach.

Rimario joined Thanh Hoa Club.

Last week, the story between Binh Duong Club and Rimario surprised fans. Initially, the team posted on its homepage announcing the termination of Rimario's contract. Later, the post was revised to state that the 1994-born player would continue to fulfill his signed contract.

During his 2 seasons playing for Thanh Hoa Club, Rimario Gordon played consistently. He scored 16 goals in 28 matches. The player born in 1994 moved to play for Hanoi FC and also scored 12 goals. In 2022, Rimario joined Hai Phong Club and became the top scorer of V-League with 17 goals, helping the team become the runner-up of the tournament.

Coach Velizar Popov himself wants to have Rimario Gordon. This striker is a player with a lot of personality, but the Bulgarian coach is confident that he will have measures to help Rimario return to the position of the top scorer of V-League.

Rimario is the 6th new player of Thanh Hoa Club before V-League 2023/2024. This team has the services of defender Dinh Viet Tu ( Nam Dinh Club), Nguyen Thanh Long (Binh Duong Club), midfielder Pham Trum Tinh (Khanh Hoa Club), Antonio Luiz (Lamphun Warriors Club), Nguyen Trong Phu (Long An Club).

Last season, Thanh Hoa FC played successfully when finishing 4th in V-League and won the National Cup. Their first match of the new season was against Hanoi Police FC in the 2023 National Super Cup on October 7.
