In his opening speech at the question-and-answer session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that, based on a synthesis of socio-economic issues of great concern to voters and the people, National Assembly deputies selected two groups of issues for the National Assembly to question, under the responsibility of two ministers: the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Education and Training.
Also participating in the explanation are Deputy Prime Ministers in charge of the fields and relevant ministers and heads of sectors. Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh will represent the Government to clarify issues related to the Government's operations and directly answer questions from National Assembly deputies at the end of the question-and-answer session.
The National Assembly will vote to pass the Resolution on interpellation at the end of the session as a basis for agencies to implement and for the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, National Assembly agencies, National Assembly delegations, and National Assembly deputies to supervise. At the same time, through the interpellation of National Assembly deputies, ministers and heads of sectors will have more information to perfect effective solutions, improve the quality of direction and administration, and create strong changes in each management area.
The National Assembly Chairman requested that National Assembly deputies closely follow the resolutions and directives of the Party, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government and the scope of the questioning content of this session to objectively and thoroughly assess the results and achievements, difficulties, challenges and opportunities; analyze properly and deeply and make recommendations and propose breakthrough solutions and tasks that are practical, feasible and highly effective, meeting the requirements of rapid and sustainable development of the country in the new period.
According to the plan, Minister Nguyen Van Thang will answer questions in the financial sector, including financial solutions for socio-economic development, ensuring growth targets, renewing traditional growth drivers, and establishing and promoting new growth drivers.
In addition, there are solutions to improve the operational efficiency of state-owned enterprises; solutions to support and promote the development of the private economy into the most important driving force of the economy; solutions to promote the attraction of foreign direct investment (FDI). The National Assembly also questioned the mechanisms and policies to promote, attract investment, and develop industrial parks and economic zones.
