With the theme #PureStyleShines - Unique Identity Creates Style, Vietnam International Fashion Week Spring Summer 2025 will bring together 16 famous domestic and international designers and fashion brands. Among them, designer Julien Fournié (official member of the Paris Haute Couture Association, France since 2017). He is one of the few designers to be recognized with the title of Haute Couture.
Notably, the fashion week will bring virtual reality technology to the red carpet for the first time, along with many applications connecting fashion with technology. The event will officially take place from June 5-8, at Nguyen Du Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City.
The unique identity of fashion week
After 18 seasons held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the fashion week has entered its 11th year with the expectation of opening an era that marks the identity of Vietnamese fashion, affirming the unique position of the country's fashion on the international map, aiming to build a fashion industry with a strong cultural identity, unique values and global competitiveness.
Over the past 10 years, Vietnam International Fashion Week has pursued sustainable fashion, from introducing collections using recycled materials such as lotus silk, oyster shells, and bamboo stems, to preserving cultural elements in each design. This year, in addition to continuing to honor environmentally friendly materials, the program also emphasizes the "unique identity" in the design language of each fashion house - starting a new journey, striving to turn Vietnam from a manufacturing destination into a country with a comprehensively developed fashion industry, making its own mark on the international stage.

More specifically, this fashion week will bring AR technology to the red carpet - allowing guests to experience new designs through virtual reality technology. The upcoming application will also be integrated into invitations and the feature of experiencing outfits right at the event, opening a new era in connecting fashion with technology.
Chairwoman of the Association of Southeast Asian Fashion Designers (CAFD) and Chairwoman of Vietnam International Fashion Week, Ms. Trang Le shared: “ For me, each time we organize it is not only a fashion event, but also a new step in the journey of continuous development of Vietnamese fashion. Every time I step into a new stage, I always ask myself 'What will be the next step?' If in the previous season, we chose the message #FashionEvolution - New steps, as a manifesto for the vision of the next decade: to make Vietnam a country with a developed fashion industry, then in this season, we decided to choose the theme #PureStyleShines - Unique identity creates style, as a strong affirmation of the 'position' of Vietnamese fashion on the world fashion map.”
“This is also a great opportunity for us to tell the story of identity together, from culture, materials, to national spirit through the creative lens of fashion. That is why this time we want to emphasize the two words identity as an affirmation to create a unique look and voice for Vietnamese fashion in the new decade,” Ms. Trang Le expressed.
The meeting of famous fashion houses
As a pioneer in inviting world-famous designers to participate, especially Haute Couture-certified designers, the organizers have always made efforts on this journey.
Also, for each international designer coming to Vietnam, each time domestic designers have more opportunities to learn from experience, creating motivation to position their personal brand as well as thinking about the direction of development to the world.

After a decade, Julien Fournié returned to Vietnam International Fashion Week (he first attended in 2015). Ms. Trang Le said that to invite a Haute Couture designer like Julien Fournié, she had to be patient for many years due to their busy schedules.
Furthermore, they always have more stringent requirements, such as each outfit must be packed separately (not in a suitcase), kept upright, sent by air; choosing models for the show also requires higher requirements...
At Vietnam International Fashion Week Spring Summer 2025, Julien Fournié will introduce 29 designs from the “First Circus” collection that had an impressive debut at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.
In addition, the event also brought together other international designers such as Alberto Zambelli (Italy), Frederick Lee (Singapore) and fashion brands from Malaysia and Indonesia. Participating Vietnamese designers include: Dang Trong Minh Chau, Adrian Anh Tuan, Le Thanh Hoa, Vu Viet Ha, Ivan Tran, Ha Nhat Tien, Cao Minh Tien, Vuong Khang...
Le Thanh Hoa will open the show with a special collection called “The Light of Water,” paying tribute to the beauty of water, soft, pure, yet strong. Designer Vu Viet Ha will close the fashion week with the collection “Ma dao,” inspired by markets and the lives of people in the highlands. The quintessence of Vietnamese identity will be expressed through weaving and embroidery. Brocade is also a material used in this collection./.
