Opportunity to visit Buddha's relics - India's national treasure in Hanoi capital

The Buddha's relics will be brought to Quan Su Pagoda (Hanoi) on the afternoon of May 13 and people can come to worship until May 16.

According to information from the Organizing Committee of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival, after Thanh Tam Pagoda (Ho Chi Minh City) and Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh), Buddha's relics will be invited and enshrined at Quan Su Pagoda ( Hanoi ).

Accordingly, the procession and enshrinement of Buddha's relics at Quan Su Pagoda will take place from May 13 to 16.

It is expected that at 3:00 p.m. on May 13, the Buddha's relics will be carried from Noi Bai International Airport, then pass through main roads in Hanoi such as Nhat Tan Bridge, Vo Chi Cong, Dao Tan, Tran Nhan Tong, Le Duan, Kim Ma, Tran Binh Trong, Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace and be placed at Quan Su Pagoda.

At 6:00 p.m. the same day, the delegation performed the procession of Buddha's relics through the streets around Hoan Kiem Lake such as: Ly Thuong Kiet, Hang Bai, Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Thai To, Ba Trieu... then returned to Quan Su Pagoda.

The Buddha's relics will be enshrined on the first floor of the Quan Su Pagoda Hall for monks, nuns, Buddhists and people to come and worship. The worship time is from 7am to 9:30pm on May 14, 15 and 16.

After that time, the Buddha's relics will be brought back to Tam Chuc Pagoda ( Ha Nam ) from May 17 to 21, which is also the place where the 2019 Vesak Festival was held. After that, the Buddha's relics will return to India.

Most Venerable Thich Tam Hai, Head of the Information and Communications Department of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City, said that during the 6 days of the Buddha's relic worship ceremony, about 100,000 visitors per day were welcomed.
