Speaking at the reception, Mr. Wei Ran emphasized Guangxi's pioneering role in exchange activities with Vietnam. He said that Guangxi has now established friendly relations with 23 provinces, cities and districts of Vietnam, accounting for nearly 1/3 of the total 65 pairs of twinned localities between the two countries, ranking first among Chinese localities.

In the context of Vietnam's restructuring and reorganization of administrative units at all levels, Mr. Nguyen Nhien expressed his hope that both sides would find suitable solutions so that the cooperative relationship would not be interrupted and would continue to develop more strongly.

The two sides agreed that maintaining and deepening the pairs of twinned localities will continue to be a solid foundation, contributing to the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Guangxi in particular, Vietnam and China in general, to develop more deeply, substantially and effectively.
