On May 13, the interdisciplinary inspection team chaired by the Economic Police Department (Da Nang City Police) in coordination with the City Food Safety Management Board, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Lien Chieu District, and the Da Nang Drainage and Wastewater Treatment Company inspected the animal processing facility of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong's business household (Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District).

Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that the facility did not have equipment to treat exhaust gas and discharged wastewater that exceeded technical standards, causing serious environmental pollution. In particular, the facility was also trading 3,490 kg of animal products of unknown origin, including 2,590 kg of pig and cow intestines and 900 kg of pork fat.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has issued an administrative fine of more than VND126 million for the above-mentioned business household. At the same time, the authorities also forced the owner of the establishment to destroy all evidence of the violation.

The case is currently being monitored and handled by the authorities in accordance with the law.
