Louis Koo - Sammo Hung come to Vietnam to meet fans

Two famous actors of Hong Kong (China) cinema, Louis Koo and Sammo Hung, will be in Vietnam to participate in the Hong Kong Cinema Gala - Vietnam Station, which will be held from November 6 to 8 in Ho Chi Minh City.

This event is organized by the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA) in collaboration with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore, with sponsorship from the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDAHK) and the Hong Kong Film Development Fund.

And Sammo Hung will come to Vietnam to participate in the Hong Kong Cinema Gala.

On this occasion, martial arts stars Sammo Hung and Louis Koo will be in Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the opening ceremony and interact with fans.

This is the first time the event has been held in Vietnam with the theme “Together We Dare to Be Powerful” symbolizing the spirit of breaking limits and constantly creating.

The program in Vietnam includes an opening ceremony and four film screenings, with the hope of bringing Vietnamese audiences into the unique silver screen world of Hong Kong cinema.

The works screened this time include: Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In , Stuntman , Four Trails , and Last Song For You .

Kowloon Walled City: Siege is one of four films screened at the event.

Previously, the event was held in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Phnom Penh and Jakarta, successfully bringing Hong Kong cinema to audiences in Asian countries. The Vietnam stop marks an important step in the journey of promoting Hong Kong (China) films, and at the same time opens up the future of diversification and internationalization of this cinema.

According to Ms. Lien Boi Tuyen - Executive Director of the Asian Film Awards Academy, the growth rate of the Vietnamese film market has left a deep impression on many people.

Therefore, bringing the Hong Kong (China) Cinema Gala to Vietnam for the first time is an important cultural milestone, helping Vietnamese audiences feel the attraction of one of the Asian cinema capitals, as well as share experiences with Vietnamese film producers.
