However, currently, in Ho Chi Minh City, the application of technology in the education sector still faces many barriers such as lack of qualified lecturers, lack of policy mechanisms for bidding for projects, lack of research on training frameworks, etc.

On the morning of August 8, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Entrepreneurship (Sihub) organized a conference "Sharing problems and challenges that need solutions in the field of educational technology".
Technology in education has been playing a key role in reshaping teaching and learning methods. However, the application of technology in the education sector still faces many barriers such as lack of qualified lecturers, lack of policy mechanisms for bidding for projects, lack of research on training frameworks, etc.

According to Mr. Vo Thien Cang, Director of the Center for Information and Educational Programs (Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City), the application of technology has innovated teaching and learning methods, creating a more dynamic and effective educational environment. With more than 10 million digital resources, students can access a huge digital library of learning materials and documents, helping to increase efficiency by more than 45%, saving time for teachers thanks to automatic tools; flexible learning at any time based on the E-learning platform.
"Statistics show that the rate of teachers proficient in digital tools at educational institutions in inner-city areas is significantly higher than that in suburban areas," Mr. Vo Thien Cang shared.
Regarding solutions, Mr. Cang said that it is necessary to invest in improving digital infrastructure, developing digital science resources or training to improve teachers' technological skills... In addition, it is necessary to deploy a synchronous roadmap, focusing on strategic and comprehensive solutions, which is the key to achieving the goal. In addition, it is necessary to deploy solutions effectively to increase the rate of students fully equipped with digital skills.

Ms. Le Thi Be Ba, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Entrepreneurship, said that in 2024, the Center incubated 10 projects, of which 6 were successfully incubated. In 2025, the Center expanded its selection to include Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau , planning to select 35 technology projects in education, mainly focusing on startups with commercialized products and encouraging teachers at schools to participate.
“This year is an exciting year for AI, we also look forward to having more projects to accompany and promote schools in Ho Chi Minh City to innovate in the teaching process,” said Ms. Le Thi Be Ba.
