Concert of Childhood Memory returns with 100 years of Walt Disney inspiration

The Concert of Childhood Memory has just introduced a special concert night performing immortal soundtracks from Walt Disney Animation Studios, which will take place on July 12, 13 and 14, 2023, at the Grand Concert Hall, Vietnam National Academy of Music ( Hanoi ).

The concert celebrates the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney Animation Studios, filled with fairy tales filled with magic, courage and love, and timeless soundtracks.

The works selected to be performed in this program come from famous animated films, familiar to Vietnamese audiences such as: Frozen, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Lion King... These are immortal animated film soundtracks that have had their own lives and received special love from music lovers around the world .

The concert brings together nearly 100 talented artists, including a special appearance by a choir and young singers, promising to bring a “sumptuous” and emotional musical feast. In addition to investing in the quality of music, Concert of Childhood Memory also impresses young audiences with elaborate stage effects, lighting…, recreating a colorful fairy tale world right in the concert hall.

Choosing the theme “A Leap of Faith”, Concert of Childhood Memory hopes to honor the human values of faith and courage. These are the wonderful qualities that have created the strength for the main characters in Disney animated films and at the same time have been the main inspiration for the journey of more than a century of operation of this famous animation studio.

Pianist La Tuan Cuong, the program representative, shared: “ We want to use this program to attract audiences, especially young people, to be interested in and learn more about chamber music. That is also the reason why the program chooses familiar film music themes, associated with everyone's childhood. Fortunately, the audience has gradually accepted and sympathized with the inspirational messages from the program .”

After 8 years of consistently bringing impressive film music concerts in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Concert of Childhood Memory has become a favorite program of music lovers across the country.

The program's production team's wish is to build a community of audiences who love chamber music and together spread love for this music genre that is still selective of listeners in Vietnam.
