Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that during the resistance war as well as in peacetime, Lam Dong Police clearly demonstrated the traditional qualities and bravery of the Vietnam People's Police.

On the afternoon of August 15, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province and the Provincial Police Department held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Police (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

Attending the event were comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province; leaders of Lam Dong province and the provincial police through the periods.

At the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi reviewed the glorious history of the Vietnam People's Public Security force and Lam Dong Provincial Public Security through the process of building, fighting and growing.

Lam Dong Provincial Police was formed and grew up in the fire of two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism. From a small reconnaissance force established in the historic August 1945, under the leadership, education, training of the Party and the care, protection and assistance of ethnic minorities, Lam Dong Provincial Police has grown in all aspects, contributing with the army and people of Lam Dong to write heroic pages of history throughout the struggle to protect the Fatherland.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi spoke at the ceremony.

He emphasized that during the resistance war as well as in peacetime, Lam Dong Provincial Police clearly demonstrated the traditional qualities and mettle of the Vietnam People's Police in terms of absolute loyalty to the Party's revolutionary cause and awareness of serving the people.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, he congratulated the growth of the Lam Dong Provincial Police force and acknowledged the achievements of the police force in the past time. At the same time, he set new requirements and tasks for the Lam Dong Provincial Police in the new development stage of the locality. The Provincial Police must be the core force, exemplary, leading in activities, creating the best momentum for socio-economic development, and doing a good job of ensuring security and order .

"Every public security officer and soldier needs to think big, act big, be decisive and achieve big results," the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

At the ceremony, the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 25 collectives and 45 individuals with outstanding achievements in ensuring political security, maintaining social order and safety, building Lam Dong Police force and the movement of all people to protect national security.
