Bac Ninh Provincial Police: Awarding the Certificate of Merit to Martyr Tran Ngoc Son

BAC NINH - On July 23, at the Hall of the People's Committee of Doan Dao Commune, Hung Yen Province, Bac Ninh Provincial Police held a memorial service and awarded the Certificate of Merit to martyr, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ngoc Son, officer of the Waterway Police Team, Traffic Police Department, Bac Ninh Provincial Police.

Previously, on June 27, 2025, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1380/QD-TTg to award the Certificate of Merit to comrade Tran Ngoc Son (born in 1977), Doan Dao commune, Hung Yen province.

Colonel Do Duc Trinh, Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Provincial Police, presented the Certificate of Merit to the relatives of martyr Tran Ngoc Son.

Martyr Tran Ngoc Son, from Tra Bo village, Doan Dao commune, joined the People's Public Security force in October 1996, working in many different positions. On January 4, 2021, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ngoc Son heroically sacrificed his life while performing the task of patrolling, controlling, fighting and preventing crimes on waterways, and arresting law violators on the Duong and Thai Binh rivers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Do Duc Trinh, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, emphasized that the sacrifice of martyr Tran Ngoc Son contributed to further enhancing the glorious tradition of the People's Police force.

The memorial service and awarding of the Certificate of Merit by the Fatherland were held solemnly, expressing the deep gratitude of the People's Public Security force, local authorities and people towards the police officer who sacrificed for a peaceful life.
