Bitexco Building - where the fire prevention and rescue drill took place - has 68 floors and is considered one of the tallest buildings in Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.
Hypothetical situation, at 9:30 a.m., an electrical incident occurred on the 7th floor of Bitexco building and a spark occurred, causing a fire and explosion. At the time of the fire, there were about 1,000 people inside the building, including employees and passengers.
The amount of smoke that spread and covered all floors of the Bitexco building caused many people to be trapped, panicked, and fainted.
The Command Center of Ho Chi Minh City Police mobilized the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of District 1 Police and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Area 1 to the scene to deploy many fire fighting directions.
A 56m ladder truck approached the scene and soldiers deployed the ladder to the 7th floor of Bitexco building to rescue the victims.
