On the evening of June 30, Ho Chi Minh City Police announced a list of headquarters addresses of 167 commune-level police stations, 1 special zone and 10 police stations in the city. At the same time, it announced 49 points for receiving citizen identification card applications for people to conveniently contact and carry out administrative procedures.

Accordingly, implementing the policy of the Politburo and the Resolutions of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of provincial and communal administrative units, on June 22, the Minister of Public Security issued decisions to rearrange 52 provincial police into 23 focal points according to new administrative boundaries.

On June 28, in Hanoi, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security announced the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on the organization and personnel of provincial and municipal public security according to the Resolution of the National Assembly on the arrangement of provincial administrative units. Accordingly, Binh Duong Provincial Public Security, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Public Security and affiliated organizations will be merged into Ho Chi Minh City Public Security.
