On June 26, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee coordinated with the Department of Culture and Information of Ho Chi Minh City to hold a press conference to provide information on socio -economic issues in Ho Chi Minh City. Over 1 month, organized driving tests for more than 13,400 students
At the press conference, Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Dong, Deputy Head of PC08, Ho Chi Minh City Police, said that after receiving the task of testing and issuing driving licenses, PC08 coordinated to count the number of students to organize the test.

Since May 14, Ho Chi Minh City Police have organized 47 exams for more than 13,400 students. From now until the end of 2025, PC08 will continue to advise Ho Chi Minh City Police to organize exams and increase the number of students. Students whose health certificates are about to expire or who were trained before January 1, 2025 will be given priority to take the exam.
Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Dong said that the test set consists of 600 questions, deployed from June 1, with full content groups, such as professional ethics of drivers, driving techniques, handling dangerous traffic situations, traffic culture, rescue skills... This requires candidates to have a comprehensive grasp of the training content.
In particular, out of 600 questions, 60 questions are assigned a failing score, focusing on serious behaviors such as alcohol concentration violations, running red lights, not giving way to priority vehicles... Notably, the test set is built on a software program, both the theory test and the driving test and students are scored automatically, examiners cannot interfere with the test results.
Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Dong said that PC08 organizes the reception of applications for renewal of expired driver's licenses at 3 locations previously managed by the Department of Transport and 22 locations previously located at district and county police headquarters for people to submit directly.
PC08 also guides people to register and issue driving licenses through the public service system.
Strengthen inspection of advertisements for drugs, functional foods...
Regarding information about celebrities and artists participating in advertising Hi-up milk, functional foods, fake and poor quality goods, Mr. Tran Thanh Vuong, Head of the Department of Building a Cultural Family Lifestyle, Department of Culture and Sports, said that the law currently does not have specific regulations on handling celebrities and artists when participating in advertising activities.

The Law on Advertising strictly prohibits false advertising, causing confusion about the business capacity, the ability to provide products, goods and services. Therefore, the competent authorities will base on the violations of the advertising participants to handle.
Mr. Tran Thanh Vuong also said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a code of conduct for artists when participating in advertising. That is to ensure the transmission of honest, accurate and clear information about the uses. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requested that the authorities strengthen the handling of artists and celebrities who take advantage of their reputation to violate the law.
Along with that, the National Assembly passed the draft Law on Advertising (amended and supplemented), which specifically regulates advertising activities of people who influence the public and takes effect from January 1, 2026. This law shows the responsibility of celebrities and people who influence the public when participating in advertising.
A representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the department will continue to strengthen strict inspection of advertising records and conditions, especially regarding medicines, milk, and functional foods.
