The Investigation Security Agency, Ho Chi Minh City Police Department today (November 7) issued a notice to find individuals and organizations that are shareholders of Thanh Nien Media Group Joint Stock Company.

This move is to serve the investigation of the case of “Violating regulations on management and use of state assets causing loss and waste”, which occurred at the project of office building, commercial center and luxury apartments at the land lot 151-155 Ben Van Don Street, Ward 6, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City.

Previously, in mid-January 2024, the Security Investigation Agency prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Nguyen Cong Khe - former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thanh Nien Media Group Joint Stock Company - and Mr. Nguyen Quang Thong for the crime of "Violating regulations on management and use of state assets causing waste and loss.

Both Mr. Khe and Mr. Thong were former Editors-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper.

The initial investigation determined that during their tenure, Mr. Khe and Mr. Thong committed violations related to the implementation of the above project. Therefore, the "golden land" area of ​​7,069m2 fell into the hands of a private enterprise.

The investigation agency also determined that on July 22, 2014, Mr. Nguyen Cong Khe signed a memorandum of agreement with his partners to terminate the cooperation contract, denying ownership and full rights to use 5,400m2 of office space in the future of the above project. This resulted in losses for the state and Thanh Nien Media Corporation.

Therefore, to serve the investigation, the authorities request organizations and individuals who were shareholders of Thanh Nien Media Group Corporation in 2014 to contact 161 Nguyen Du Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, or by phone number 02838414579/0708098848 to meet investigator Doan Van Luan to clarify their rights and requests.

Within 30 days, if no organization or individual contacts to resolve the matter, the security investigation agency will handle the case in accordance with legal regulations.
