Police investigate driver chasing passengers on Highway 1A

On August 18, Cam Trung Commune Police (Ha Tinh Province) is coordinating with provincial police departments to invite relevant people to work to clarify the case of a driver chasing passengers on National Highway 1A.

Video shows driver allegedly chasing passenger

Previously, a 10-second video clip appeared on social media, showing two men arguing and struggling in the middle of Highway 1A. After that, one of the two men, believed to be the car driver, shouted loudly, pulled out a sharp object from his back pocket, threatened and chased the other man away.

According to initial information, the incident occurred on the afternoon of August 17, on National Highway 1A (through Cam Trung Commune, Ha Tinh Province). The two men in the video are believed to be the driver of the car with license plate 38B... and a male passenger named C. (residing in Cam Trung Commune).

According to initial investigation, at around 2:50 p.m. on August 17, Mr. C. arrived at the bus stop in Thanh Sen ward (Ha Tinh province). When he saw a car with license plate 38B... painted in three main colors: white, red and yellow (similar to the paint color of buses in Ha Tinh province), he got in the car to move towards Cam Trung commune.

On the way, Mr. C. saw the driver of car with license plate 38B... zigzagging many times to overtake passenger cars in the same direction, the back door opened by itself, causing traffic safety problems... Many frightened passengers complained and asked the driver to slow down, but to no avail.

When arriving at Cam Trung commune, Mr. C. got out of the car and used his phone to take a picture of the car with license plate 38B... swerving to report to the authorities. Immediately, the driver of the car with license plate 38B... turned the car around, got out, grabbed Mr. C. by the collar and asked him to delete the picture.

When Mr. C. did not agree, the driver took out a sharp object from his pocket and chased him.

However, after chasing for dozens of meters, unable to reach Mr. C., the driver returned to the car and continued his journey.

On August 18, Mr. C. reported the incident to the authorities.
