On the afternoon of July 28, the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks organized the announcement of the 1/2000 scale Construction Zoning Plan for the Northwest Dung Quat Urban, Industrial and Service Area. This is the 9th zoning plan, and also the last plan assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks to implement after the Prime Minister approved the overall adjustment of the General Construction Plan for Dung Quat Economic Zone, Quang Ngai Province to 2045 in 2023.

The 1/2000 scale construction zoning plan of the Northwest Dung Quat Urban, Industrial and Service Area has a scale of nearly 2,800 hectares, located in Binh Son commune. The planning objective is to concretize the orientations of the Project to Adjust the General Construction Planning of Dung Quat Economic Zone, Quang Ngai province to 2045. To build a modern, synchronous, Northwest Dung Quat urban, industrial and service area, harmoniously connected with other functional areas in Dung Quat Economic Zone, contributing to regional development. It is an urban, industrial and service center, the northern gateway area of Dung Quat Economic Zone.

Developing urban areas, services, tourism , high-tech industry, light industry, aviation support industry, wood processing industry and construction materials, associated with the Logistics Center and logistics services of Chu Lai airport. Arranging the space of the airport urban area with full functions, with specific elements associated with Chu Lai airport. In addition, there is also space for rural residential areas, ports and fishing logistics services, industrial space, green space, harmonious ecology, utilities, associated with infrastructure, modern housing.

In this planning, priority will be given to attracting technical infrastructure projects, including main roads to form the main traffic framework and facilitate traffic connections in the area. Regarding social infrastructure, priority will be given to building public services and educational facilities. Investment resources will prioritize using budget capital to implement basic construction programs and projects, key infrastructure projects, programs and projects, creating development momentum. Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen the promotion and calling for investment outside the budget.
