Compared to the March exams of last year, the 2025 exam scores tend to increase slightly, about 3 to 5 points on a 150-point scale, because candidates can choose the Science or English exam according to their abilities and strengths according to the 2018 GeneralEducation Program.
This can predict that the admission score based on HSA exam results in 2025 will tend to be higher than in previous years. According to the distribution statistics of the exam, the percentage of candidates achieving a score of ≥ 110/150 is 2.1%; achieving ≥ 105/150 is 2.1%; the score of ≥ 100 is 10.1%; the score of ≥ 90/150 is 27.0%; from 80/150 and above is 51.1%; from 75/150 is 63.4%.

Convert to 30 point scale
From 2025, HSA test scores will be converted to a 30-point scale according to the University Admission Regulations for admission purposes. The Competency Assessment test scores will be converted independently to a 30-point scale for university admission purposes according to the compulsory test (Mathematics and Data Processing, Language - Literature) and the optional test of Science and English.
According to the Admission Regulations, for a training program, major, or group of majors, all candidates are selected equally based on the admission score and equivalent converted admission score according to each admission method, admission combination, etc. Candidates taking the exam should note this regulation to avoid having their exam results and admission results canceled by the Competency Assessment exam score after the exam ends due to violations of exam security regulations such as disclosing, discussing, and sharing information about exam questions and exam papers without the consent of the exam organizing unit.
Higher education institutions base on the score distribution and components of the test in accordance with the input quality requirements of the training majors to recruit students. The exam organizer recommends that the natural science, technology and engineering majors choose the Science part of the test with at least one topic in the field of Physics or Chemistry; the health science, agriculture and biomedical majors choose the Science part of the test with at least one topic in the field of Biology; the social science and humanities majors choose the Science part of the test with at least one topic in the field of History or Geography; the Earth science major choose the Science part of the test with at least one topic in the field of Physics or Geography; the economics, business administration and law majors choose the Science part of the test with at least one topic in the field of Physics, History or English; the foreign language, diplomacy and foreign language and culture majors choose English in the third part of the test.
