In recent times, the provincial trade union has spread meaningful and effective ways to care for union members and workers in terms of material and spiritual life. In particular, it has grasped the situation of labor, employment, and policies to ensure workers; and proposed and coordinated timely handling of issues related to workers' rights in enterprises. The trade union has also innovated propaganda, through storytelling contests of good people and good deeds; taking advantage of social networks to introduce and spread new models, close to the base, close to workers.

According to the assessment of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, many models have gone into depth, becoming substantive activities of the union for the workers. From there, creating positive changes in the awareness and work of union officials, union members and workers when performing professional tasks, contributing to the successful completion of assigned tasks with agencies, units and enterprises. Thanks to the efforts of unions at all levels, the rights and welfare of workers are increasingly guaranteed and improved. From there, the role and position of the union organization are increasingly enhanced.

In early 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized research, study, dissemination and implementation of the topic " An Giang studying and following the example of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton in caring for people's lives". The Provincial Federation of Labor requested that trade unions at all levels identify that caring for the lives of union members and workers is an important task and the responsibility of each union official. Focus on leading, directing and implementing through programs and plans suitable to the actual conditions of each locality, agency, unit and enterprise. Innovate and improve the effectiveness of propaganda work, discover, commend and replicate typical examples in studying and following the example of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton in caring for the lives of union members and workers. Trade unions at all levels organize monthly activities with appropriate content, assign cadres, party members and union members to report on learning content, participate in discussions and guide practical actions.

Practical care for union members and workers in both material and spiritual life

In propaganda work, focus on selecting, building and regularly and widely propagating typical collective and individual examples, good models, and effective ways of serving and caring for people's lives with dedication and effort. Increase the use of communication methods on the Internet and social networks; through seminars, workshops, exchanges, culture, arts, oral propaganda, the system of reporters and propagandists, political activities, news reports, etc.

Towards the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), especially associated with a series of peak activities to care for union members and workers during Workers' Month, and important events of 2025, unions at all levels have been implementing many contents, especially at enterprises. Thousands of gifts have been presented to union members in difficult circumstances and with occupational diseases. The forums are expected to take place: "Dialogue in May", "Party with workers - workers with the Party", developing union members, introducing outstanding union members for the Party to train and admit, etc.

The Provincial Federation of Labor has launched an emulation movement among all levels of unions to study and follow the examples of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton. Accordingly, the union coordinates with the government and employers to seriously and extensively carry out the emulation movement in each agency, unit, enterprise, cadre, union member, civil servant, employee, and laborer to join hands to take care of the lives of the people and workers, especially union members and laborers in difficult circumstances. At the same time, strengthen the understanding of people's thoughts, feelings and lives, proactively review, investigate and survey to grasp the living conditions of union members and workers in difficult circumstances in localities, units and enterprises, especially those subject to policies and those in particularly difficult circumstances, in order to have timely and effective support measures. Trade unions at all levels attach importance to the direct interests of workers; mobilize the attention of union members and workers along with caring for and sharing difficulties; do your best to do what is beneficial to workers, and avoid what is harmful to workers.
