Taking place over 5 days (October 13-17, 2025), the program examined and provided vision consultation to more than 1,000 students. Each student was directly examined by a team of doctors and nurses from Saigon Ha Long Eye Hospital Joint Stock Company, had their results recorded, and was instructed on eye care appropriate to their vision condition.

Not only stopping at the activities of eye examination and consultation, the exchange sessions also created a lively atmosphere with many interesting questions revolving around the topic of protecting school eyesight. Through the program, students were equipped with knowledge about correct learning posture, reasonable time using electronic devices and a nutritional regimen to help maintain healthy bright eyes.
According to ophthalmologists, regular eye exams help detect early refractive errors such as nearsightedness, astigmatism, and farsightedness, problems that seem small but can have long-term effects on learning ability and quality of life. For school-age children, early screening not only protects their eyesight but also contributes to forming proactive health care habits right from when they are still in school.

Sharing at the program, MSc. Dr. Tran Thanh Hai, Professional Director of Saigon Ha Long Eye Hospital Joint Stock Company, said: “We hope that the Bright Eyes Team program is not only an opportunity to detect vision problems early, but also an opportunity for students to better understand how to care for and maintain healthy eyes. Through the program, we hope to contribute to forming the habit of regular vision check-ups, helping students have bright, healthy eyes to study and develop comprehensively.”
The program received positive response from students, many of whom expressed joy at being examined and sharing useful knowledge.
Nguyen Minh Phuong (class 11A5) shared: “I find the Bright Eyes Team program very meaningful and practical. Thanks to direct examination and consultation, my friends and I understand our eyesight condition better, and know how to care for and protect our eyes when studying or using electronic devices.”

In the coming time, Saigon Ha Long Eye Hospital Joint Stock Company will continue to cooperate with schools in Quang Ninh province, expanding the "Bright Eyes Team" program to more students. This activity contributes to bringing specialized vision care services closer to schools, while raising public awareness about eye protection and school health care.
