The procession of the Pô Sah Inư goddess's costume is the most important ritual in the Katê Festival.

Mr. Doan Van Thuan, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Provincial Museum, said: Activities at the Cham Cultural Exhibition Center always aim to preserve and promote the unique cultural values of the Cham people, contributing to the development of advanced Vietnamese culture with a strong national identity. Through these activities, the Museum hopes to promote and introduce more widely the value of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Cham people to the public, while creating a joyful and healthy cultural space, attracting tourists and creating an ideal playground for the Cham people, especially the younger generation - who actively contribute to the preservation and development of the traditional culture of the ethnic group.

Within the framework of the event, the Provincial Museum received 15 donated artifacts and antiques from collectors, intellectuals, and the Cham people for the Cham Cultural Exhibition Center. These valuable artifacts contribute to enriching the exhibition collection, bringing the total number of artifacts at the Center to over 1,600; and at the same time help the public better understand the spiritual life, beliefs, and traditional art of the Cham people.

The Cham Cultural Exhibition Center has opened a thematic photo exhibition titled "Colorful Cultures of Ethnic Groups in Lam Dong Province," showcasing 70 vibrant photographs reflecting the diverse lives of ethnic communities in the area.

A highlight of the event series is the traditional handicraft demonstration area, featuring activities such as brocade weaving, pottery making, and gingerbread making – a traditional Cham delicacy. Visitors can experience these crafts firsthand with the artisans and learn about the production process.

Artisan Lam Hung Soi from Bac Binh commune shared: "When making pottery, the Cham people don't use a potter's wheel but mold the product by hand, walking around it. That's a unique technique of Cham pottery. Each product carries the spirit of the culture and the heart of the craftsman. I am very happy to pass on the craft to the younger generation and to visitors who come to see it."

Many folk games such as blindfolded pot smashing, throwing bamboo sticks into ceramic pots, etc., and tours taking tourists to the Cham Royal Family's open-air collection (Hong Thai commune), Po Anit Temple (Bac Binh commune) and the historical and cultural architectural relics of Po Klong Mohnai Temple (Luong Son commune)... are also organized, creating a lively atmosphere and fostering connections between locals and tourists.

Visiting the Cham Cultural Exhibition Center, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh, a resident of Phan Thiet ward, said that here, she not only got to admire the artifacts and learn about customs, but also directly experience making cakes and pottery with Cham artisans. These activities helped her gain a better understanding of the culture of ethnic groups.

In particular, on this occasion, the Provincial Museum, in coordination with primary schools that teach the Cham language, organized a competition for writing in the traditional Cham script, contributing to preserving the script, language, and ethnic identity among students.

Em Chế Nữ Kim Cương, a 5th-grade student from Phan Hòa 1 Primary School, said: "I feel very happy and proud to come here every year to participate in the Cham language writing competition. I want to write beautifully and preserve the language and script that generations of our ancestors have preserved."

Since its establishment in 2010, the Cham Cultural Exhibition Center has become a prominent destination, preserving, showcasing, and disseminating the unique values of Cham culture to visitors from near and far.

In particular, during each Katê festival season, the Center becomes more vibrant with many exhibitions, performances, and cultural exchanges related to folk culture, helping viewers better understand the customs, beliefs, and traditional art of the Cham people.

With these values, the Center is increasingly affirming its role as the "common home" of Cham culture, where visitors can deeply feel the enduring vitality of a heritage that is still being preserved and shining brightly.
