Co To commune mobilized forces to reinforce key dikes to protect agricultural production for farmers.
On October 22, Chairman of Co To Commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Van directed and mobilized forces, materials, and machinery to build dikes to prevent overflows and reinforce weak points in the following areas: Tan Tuyen - Ta Danh sub-region (690ha); Hue Duc - Tan Trung sub-region (465ha); dike section of To Binh - To Phuoc sub-region (560ha), according to the "4 on-site" motto.
Co To commune authorities also propagate and call on people not to dump agricultural waste into drainage canals, causing congestion and obstructing the flow, especially during times of heavy rain like now.
Co To commune has a total agricultural land area of over 13,641 hectares, with 47 sub-regions. Of which, 16 sub-regions produce 3 crops, with an area of 6,852 hectares; 28 sub-regions produce 2 crops, with an area of 6,541 hectares; 3 fields above, with an area of 248 hectares.

On the same day, Lac Quoi Border Guard Station coordinated with Ba Chuc Commune authorities and Vinh Hoa Hamlet residents to build a temporary dike and reinforce the bank with a length of about 200m to prevent water from flooding into the fields, directly threatening about 2 hectares of chili fields of farmers who were about to be harvested.
