Director of the Sam Mountain National Tourist Area Management Board Truong Huu Tien informed about the plan to arrange ticket sales and inspection points at Sam Mountain National Tourist Area.
VNPT An Giang representative informed about the implementation stages of the "digitalization" plan for ticket sales and inspection at Sam Mountain National Tourist Area.
At the press conference, Director of the Sam Mountain National Tourist Area Management Board Truong Huu Tien gave an overview of the Sam Mountain National Tourist Area and answered questions from journalists and reporters about the plan to arrange points of sale and check of entrance tickets at the Sam Mountain National Tourist Area. A representative of VNPT An Giang informed about the stages of implementing the plan to "digitalize" the sale and check of entrance tickets at the tourist area.
Journalists and reporters express their opinions.
Reporters and journalists evaluated the arrangement as scientific, reasonable, creating fairness for tourists and residents. However, in addition to arranging the fee collection plan, the management board's leaders informed the press about the arrangement of parking lots; traffic diversion plans at the locations of ticket sales and inspection points; investment plans for the development of the Sam Mountain National Tourist Area; building a friendly tourism environment, designing unique and diverse tourism products to retain tourists...
According to Mr. Truong Huu Tien, due to the nature of the Sam Mountain National Tourist Area being interspersed with residential areas, the organization of entrance fee collection has encountered many difficulties in the past time. Under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Sam Mountain National Tourist Area Management Board has coordinated with relevant agencies and localities to conduct surveys, research and develop plans to arrange points of sale and check tickets to visit cultural and historical relics in the Sam Mountain National Tourist Area to ensure scientific, correct and sufficient collection, minimizing impacts on people and businesses.
Proposed diagram of ticket sales and check points for visiting cultural and historical relics in Sam Mountain National Tourist Area.
According to the plan approved by the Provincial People's Committee, the Management Board of Sam Mountain National Tourist Area will arrange 3 ticket control points: Ticket control point No. 1, at the beginning of the walking street in front of Tay An Pagoda; Ticket control point No. 2, at the end of the walking street in front of Vinh Te Communal House; Ticket control point No. 3, at the entrance to the back gate of Ba Temple on Chau Thi Te Street (from the entrance 30m towards Ba Temple).
Ticket booths are expected to be arranged at 3 locations, as follows: Ticket booth No. 1, at the tourist transit point of the Management Board of the National Tourist Area of Sam Mountain - Vinh Dong Commercial Center area; ticket booth No. 2, at the old sculpture area of Tan Lo Kieu Luong Street near the water supply station; ticket booth No. 3, at the end of the walking street in front of Vinh Te Communal House.
In particular, during peak times (January and February of the lunar calendar every year), arrange 2-3 more ticket sales points on Tan Lo Kieu Luong and Le Dai Cuong streets (in front of Vinh Dong Market Trade Center) to reduce pressure on ticket sales point number 2, creating the most convenience for tourists to buy tickets.
At the same time, stop stopping vehicles to buy tickets at the current 3 locations to ensure safety for the task force and facilitate smooth traffic.
Director of Sam Mountain National Tourist Area Management Board Truong Huu Tien answered comments from press agencies.
According to Mr. Tien, the new point of this plan is that the ticket sales and control will gradually shift from manual to electronic form, applying technology for management. Ticket sales will be diversified with many forms for tourists to choose from such as online ticket sales, ticket sales at hotels and motels with QR code scanning payment, direct ticket sales at the counter...
The Management Board of the National Tourist Area of Sam Mountain coordinates with local authorities to strengthen the handling of street vendors who encroach on the roadside and sidewalks, and touts who cause inconvenience to tourists; organize good management of motorbike taxis and rickshaws to ensure security, order and safety for tourists, and organize good implementation of commercial civilization in the area.
Current ticket control points will be relocated to areas suitable for reality, not affecting residents and tourists if they do not need to visit relics in the tourist area.
For visitors using personal vehicles when entering this area, they will buy entrance tickets according to regulations and at the same time follow traffic signs and instructions of competent state agencies.
For households living in this area, the Management Board of Sam Mountain National Tourist Area and Vinh Te Ward People's Committee will review vehicles and population numbers to have identification plans, with many forms such as identification cards, QR code scanning access cards, AI identification... to facilitate people's entry and exit.
“With that importance, the Management Board of Sam Mountain National Tourist Area is making efforts and actively coordinating with local authorities, mass front agencies and people to urgently innovate the collection of entrance fees to improve the quality of tourism services, creating favorable conditions to attract and retain tourists when coming to Sam Mountain National Tourist Area in particular and An Giang province in general.
In the process of implementing the new plan, the Management Board of Sam Mountain National Tourist Area continues to listen and absorb comments from local people and tourists to make appropriate adjustments in accordance with the direction of the Provincial People's Committee...", Mr. Truong Huu Tien emphasized.
