The National Tourism Administration is working with Lam Dong province on tourism business activities.

On the afternoon of October 22nd, a delegation from the Vietnam National Tourism Administration held a working session with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to discuss several issues related to tourism business activities in the area.

The delegation was led by Mr. Pham Van Thuy, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration. Representing Lam Dong province were Ms. Nguyen Lan Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with representatives from the Tourism Association, travel agencies, and accommodation establishments in the area.

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Lan Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , reported on some outstanding achievements in tourism management and development in the past period. She also pointed out existing shortcomings and obstacles, such as: management of tourist areas and sites; management of accommodation facilities; issuance of tour guide licenses; and the development of some tourism products that pose potential risks to the lives and health of tourists.

The Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proposed to the Vietnam National Tourism Administration to consider supplementing several legal regulations related to the operation of tourist areas, attractions, and accommodation establishments. At the same time, the Department also recommended issuing specific guidelines for tourism products that pose potential risks to the life and health of tourists, as well as supplementing standards for issuing tour guide licenses to better suit the practical operations of the industry.

At the end of the working session, Mr. Pham Van Thuy, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, acknowledged and highly appreciated the leadership and guidance efforts of Lam Dong province in tourism development over the past period. Mr. Pham Van Thuy affirmed that the achievements have made a significant contribution to the overall development of the national tourism industry. Regarding the local government's recommendations and proposals, the Vietnam National Tourism Administration will compile them and report them to the competent authorities for consideration and resolution as soon as possible.
