On February 9, information from Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Vinh City, Nghe An ) said that the enterprise has completed paying more than 466 billion VND in debt to the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund.
Previously, according to the conclusion of the Government Inspectorate , recently many key petroleum traders still owe environmental protection tax and abuse the Price Stabilization Fund for improper purposes.
Specifically, according to the inspection conclusion announcement, 6/15 inspected petroleum traders still owe environmental protection tax of more than VND 3,219 billion. Seven petroleum traders abused the Price Stabilization Fund for improper purposes, did not transfer it to the Fund account but left it in the enterprise's payment account, the amount amounted to more than VND 7,927 billion.
In which, Thien Minh Duc Group Corporation misused the Price Stabilization Fund, not transferring it to the Fund's account but leaving it in the company's payment account with an amount of more than 466 billion VND.
The Ministry of Finance then requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to determine the balance of the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund, coordinate with the State Bank and commercial banks where traders open accounts for the Stabilization Fund to recover to the budget, before the enterprise's role as a key trader is terminated.
By February 9, Thien Minh Duc Group Corporation had paid the entire outstanding debt of more than VND466 billion into the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund accounts established at banks.
