On April 21, comrade Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province chaired a meeting on the situation and results of collecting voters' opinions on the Project to merge Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city, the Project to arrange commune-level administrative units in Hai Duong province in 2025. The meeting was held in person and online to districts, towns and cities.

Also attending were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of departments, branches and localities.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Home Affairs quickly reported the results of collecting voters' opinions in the province on April 19 and 20 on the Project to merge Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city, and the Project to arrange commune-level administrative units in Hai Duong province in 2025.

Accordingly, voters of Hai Duong province highly agree with the projects.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau acknowledged and commended the efforts and proactiveness of the political system at all levels in implementing the collection of voters' opinions on projects and achieving a high rate.

Comrade Le Ngoc Chau emphasized that the results of the voter survey showed the consensus of the people, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and unity for the common good. This is a solid foundation for effectively implementing the next steps in the arrangement of administrative units at all levels.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested localities to synthesize and complete the report and send it to the Provincial People's Committee via the Department of Home Affairs on April 21.

Districts, towns and cities are directed to prepare well for the organization of district and commune People's Council meetings to approve the policy of administrative unit arrangement.
