Mr. Luong Viet Tinh - Director of the Quang Nam Market Management Department said that through inspection, the functional sector has dealt with prominent groups of violating goods and common groups of violations in the area.

Regarding the prevention of transportation and trade of prohibited goods and illegal imports, 97 cases were handled, with fines of nearly 592 million VND collected. Regarding the prevention of production and trade of counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, and goods that infringe intellectual property rights, 23 cases were handled, with fines of more than 241 million VND collected.

Regarding inspection of food products, 116 cases were handled, with fines of nearly 300 million VND collected. Regarding inspection results of liquefied petroleum gas products, 16 cases were handled, with fines of more than 44 million VND collected. In addition, the Quang Nam Market Management Department has handled many violations in the trading of tobacco, alcohol, pesticides, etc.

Mr. Luong Viet Tinh said that there are many difficulties in fighting, detecting and handling illegal trading of goods in the province. Information technology develops rapidly, business, trading, exchanging goods and services via Zalo, Facebook, e-commerce websites... are difficult to control, prevent and handle violations.

There is not much information about online sellers, it is very difficult to find and identify. These accounts sell goods without a fixed store, sell as collaborators, small-scale, do not gather goods, so it is difficult to determine the location and goods.

The number of transportation and express delivery companies operating is increasing, potentially causing illegal business and taking advantage of transporting counterfeit goods, goods infringing intellectual property rights, smuggled goods, and goods of unknown origin.

Quang Nam Market Management Department is urgently implementing a plan to inspect and control the market before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025 to stabilize the market, ensure healthy business and protect consumers.
