Mr. Chinh (72 years old, living in Binh Thanh district, Ho Chi Minh City) has just graduated with a master's degree in business administration from Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance.
Sharing about his journey to study for a master’s degree, Mr. Chinh said that the school was nearly 3km away from his home, so he often walked. On rainy days, he rode his motorbike, and sometimes his wife or daughter drove him to school. Despite the difficulties, he was always the first to arrive at class.
Studying in the same class with "friends" the same age as his children and grandchildren, Mr. Chinh not only did not encounter difficulties due to the generation gap. On the contrary, thanks to the knowledge accumulated over decades and the spirit of eagerness to learn, he gradually became the "locomotive" of the class.
At an age when people just want to live comfortably and enjoy life with their children and grandchildren, he chose to pursue his education. Explaining this, Mr. Chinh said that he had spent more than half of his life studying and working mainly in the technical field, and his social knowledge was still lacking. Taking advantage of his free time, he decided to continue studying to improve his qualifications and understanding.
Although he is in his old age and his health has somewhat declined, Mr. Chinh's spirit is still youthful with a passion for learning. He likes the famous quote: "Life is a ladder without a rung and learning is a book without a last page."
Not only is he a role model for his children and grandchildren, Mr. Chinh also inspires and motivates today's young generation to study.
